Digimon Anime Movies

Digimon are monsters. They live in the Digital World, which is a parallel universe to the Earth. The world was made from data contained in the Earth's communication network computers. Each Digimon anime movie has a specific way for the Digimon and others to traverse between the Digital World and the Real World.

In the movie, Digimon Adventure which was a prelude to the Digimon series, no one knew how the gateway between the Digital World and the Real World was activated. All they saw was just a split second when Digimon could travel from one to the other.

In Japan, nine Digimon anime movies have been released. Seven of them are related to their anime series. Of these nine all but two have been released worldwide. Ultimate Power! Activate Burst Mode and X-Evolution are the two that have not been released internationally.

It was Digimon Adventure 02 that introduced the Digi-Ports. This Digimon anime movie was the beginning of the Digi-Ports showing up randomly on computers. The Digimon are capable of infiltrating the Internet and according to one movie, Revenge of Diaboromon, the Digimon appeared from the Internet and came to Earth through a cell phone.

Digimon anime Movie 7 or Island of the Lost Digimon is another movie about children. Five of them accidentally discover an island. The island is home for two different types of digimon. The beast type is one and the second one is the human type. A feud exists between these two different types of digimon but the children see that it is possible for the humans and the beasts to live together as friends. When they see two young digimon - a human and a beast - being friends, they decide the time has come to end the feud.

So as you can see the Digimon anime movies do have a general theme which is boosted by the Island of the Lost Digimon. It is possible for two totally different types of people to live together peacefully and sometimes it is the children that teach us this.

In the U.S. as well as globally Digimon anime movies have taken the world by storm. They are one of the hottest types of movies that target kids from 8 to 13. However, they are not the only people who are die-hard Digimon fans. Many adults like these movies as well.

The Digimon movies released in Brazil, Latin America and Germany are not censored versions. They are the original Japanese movies and are uncut. The Digimon movies were first dubbed in English because of the competition that existed between Digimon and Pokemon.

In order to get into the American market the Digimon movies had to be translated to English for the public to understand the movie. However, there was a small problem with the dubbing when the voices were not what they were supposed to be. The native accents of several of the people dubbing came through which was totally different than the accent that was needed.

Digimon movies are very popular and have become something of a collector's item. With their availability through the Internet, adding to your collection can be easier than trying to find them elsewhere.
